Solar Thin Films Signs Contract For West Virginia Solar Projects

New York-based Solar Thin Films Inc. has signed a contract with Tri-State Solar/Wind Energy LLC to design, supply and build three photovoltaic solar projects in West Virginia. Tri-State is the property owner.
Two sites will be in the 8-10 MW range, and the third will be in the 15-20 MW range. Tri-State is responsible for obtaining financing to complete the three projects and will also prepare the sites for construction.
Solar Thin Films says the anticipated value of the contract is $124 million to $160 million. Construction is expected to begin before the end of the year and require 18 months.
