A New PV FiT Policy of Jiangsu Province Sparks the Butterfly Effect

Jiangsu Province would implement a new policy of subsidy of solar electrical energy generation in order to support the development of photovoltaic industry.


After a period of three years of feed-in tariff was due by the end of 2011, Jiangsu Province carried out Policy about continuing assisting photovoltaic power generation on June 12.The policy shows that the implementation of feed-in tariff from 2012 to 2015 is as follows: 1.3 yuan / kWh、1.25 yuan / kWh、1.2 yuan / kWh、1.15 yuan / kWh。


The promulgation of Jiangsu local PV FiT became the model document of other provinces. It is understood that Liaoning、Shandong and other provinces will carry out local policy of assisting photovoltaic power generation,while Jiangxi and Henan Provinces starts related investigative work.


Shandong Province arranged schedule of PV FiT implementation on July 2011.According to the plan, the electricity prices generated by terrestrial PV grid power plant constructed in 2010、2011and 2012 respectively got the subsidy of 1.7 yuan / kwh、 1.4 yuan / kwh and 1.2 yuan / kWh.


A practitioner of Shandong PV industry disclosed that PV FiT of Shandong Province will be published by July at the latest.


According to Implementing Opinions about Subsidy of Photovoltaic Power Generation published by Liaoning province , photovoltaic power generation projects which finish constructed before 31 Dec., 2012 could get subsidy of 1.3 yuan / kWh; After 2012 province subsidy standard will apply in accordance with the ratio of average annual decrease of 10%.
