IDS Solar Technologies starts production of portable solar PV generators

On January 7th, 2013, IDS Solar Technologies Inc. (Lake Elsinore, California, U.S.) announced it has begun producing first commercial multi-unit “Solar Survivor” portable electricity generators for its distributor.

"The completion of these units will move us into the commercial growth stage of our business plan, where a distribution framework is being established and orders being fulfilled," stated George Rodriguez, vice president, production and operations.

The company is expected to deliver the solar photovoltaic (PV) generator to the distributor during January 2013.

The Solar Survivor is an economical, sturdy, and reliable choice for portable solar energy as part of an emergency/disaster preparedness plan or to provide off-grid, odorless, noiseless and non-flammable power.

"We're encouraged by the volume of inquiries we've received from dealers wishing to provide portable solar power solutions to their recreational, construction, military and industrial customers. Certainly events of this past year have brought a tremendous increase in the public's awareness of the need for such a product," Rodriguez added.
