Ofgem confirms feed-in tariff rates for July 1st, 2013

30 April 2013

The UK Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (Ofgem) has confirmed feed-in tariff rates for solar photovoltaic (PV) generation from July 1st through October 1st, 2013.

Ofgem will pay between GBP 0.0685 and 0.149 (USD 0.107 - 0.232) per kWh for electricity during the period. PV plants up to 50 kW fell short of capacity triggers, resulting in the minimum degression rate of 3.5%.

DECC moves date of degression

This follows on the Department of Energy and Climate Change's (DECC) moving the date for the next step of degression from August 1st, 2013 to July 1st, 2013, which Solar Power Portal reports was not popular with the UK solar industry.

Installations through the feed-in tariff have stabilized in 2013, with between 6.6 MW and 9.2 MW every week for the past two months, with roughly 35 MW installed each month.
